Michael S. Howard is a litigation attorney at Nichols Darling, PLLC. His practice is solely focused on defending clients against various claims of medical negligence. Michael graduated from the University of Kentucky with a B.S. degree in 2006. He went on to obtain a Juris Doctorate from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 2009. Upon graduation, he served as a Judicial Clerk for the Honorable Judge James D. Ishmael, Jr. in the 3rd Division of Fayette Circuit Court. After completing his judicial clerkship, Michael served as an Assistant County Attorney in both Hardin and Fayette County where he tried several criminal cases in front of juries. After approximately 6 years of prosecuting various misdemeanor and felony cases on behalf of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, Michael transitioned to civil litigation and joined the law firm of Landrum & Shouse where he handled various insurance defense related cases. Throughout his 10 years of experience in civil litigation, he has handled various cases involving medical negligence on behalf of both Plaintiffs and Defendants. Michael has previously been recognized by Best Lawyers ®, and he is also a member of the Kentucky Academy of Hospital Attorneys. He is admitted to practice in all Kentucky state courts and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky.
